Raised in a family of construction workers, Joseph has been on job sites since he was a child. Born and raised in Georgia, he joined the United States Army but after eight years as a paratrooper and multiple deployments, injuries kept him from staying in the service. After a few years of instructing soldiers as a civilian he decided to go back to his roots in construction. After starting a small construction company in Alabama that eventually merged with a family-owned general contracting firm he oversaw projects in 5 states. Weary of the constant travel, he parted ways and started Hinton Construction LLC, they build high-end decks and porches and smaller to medium renovation and remodel projects.

With two crews and based out of Milledgeville, they service the lake Sinclair and lake Oconee areas.
